Mobile Compactor in Delhi – Supply and Installation

Archive storage without the aisles

Conventional shelving spends most of its floor area on aisles nobody is standing in. A mobile compactor puts the bays on rails so they close against each other, leaving a single aisle that opens wherever you need it. In a records room that recovers a large share of the floor, which is why hospitals, banks, courts, colleges and government offices across Delhi NCR use them.

How they are built

Sizes and capacity

Units are 2000 mm or 2200 mm high with 4 to 6 levels per bay, carrying 300 kg to 1000 kg per bay, in systems from 5 m to 12 m long. Bays can be single-access or double-access.

Drive

Manual push-pull on lighter systems, or a chain-driven handle where the loaded mass makes direct pushing impractical. See also mobile compactor systems and mobile shelving systems.

Rails

Either embedded flush in the floor, which is neater and lets a trolley roll across, or surface-mounted on a sub-frame to avoid cutting the slab. In leased or already-finished buildings, surface mounting is usually what decides it.

Safety and security

We fit anti-tilt guides and a brake so a bay cannot run while someone is in the aisle, plus central locking where contents are confidential. Shelf dividers, file separators and index card holders are available for records duty. For pure document storage see file storage compactors and file compactors; for static archive shelving see record storage racks.

Beyond files

The same mechanism suits spares, tooling, textiles and pharmacy stock. Where goods are palletised rather than hand-loaded, pallet racking is normally the better answer. Where the constraint is height rather than aisle width, look at a mezzanine floor instead.

Ask for a bay layout

Send the room dimensions, the ceiling height, the running metres of files you hold today, and whether the slab can be cut for rails. We will come back with a bay layout and a quotation. How much floor space do Industrial Mobile Compactor Storage Systems save?

Conventional shelving spends most of its area on aisles nobody is standing in. Industrial Mobile Compactor Storage Systems put the bays on rails so only the aisle in use is open, which recovers a large share of that floor. Our systems run 300 kg to 1000 kg per bay, 4 to 6 levels, in lengths from 5 m to 12 m.

How much space does a mobile compactor actually save?

Conventional shelving spends most of its floor area on aisles standing empty. A compactor puts the bays on rails so they close together and only the aisle you are using is open, which recovers a large share of that floor. The exact gain depends on how many bays you run and how many aisles the fixed shelving needed.

Does the floor have to be cut for the rails?

Not necessarily. Rails can be embedded flush in the slab, which is neater and lets a trolley roll across, or surface-mounted on a sub-frame where cutting the slab is not acceptable. In leased or already-finished buildings, surface mounting is usually the answer.

Is it safe if someone is standing in the aisle?

We fit anti-tilt guides and a brake so a bay cannot be moved while the aisle is occupied. Central locking is available where the contents are confidential, which is common in hospital records, bank and legal archives.

Is it manual or motorised?

Our systems are manual push-pull on lighter loads, or chain-driven through a handle where the loaded mass makes direct pushing impractical. Bay loads run from 300 kg to 1000 kg and systems from 5 m to 12 m in length.

Can compactors be used for things other than files?

Yes. The same mechanism suits spares, tooling, textiles and pharmacy stock. If the goods are palletised, pallet racking is normally the better answer; if the constraint is height rather than aisle width, look at a mezzanine floor instead.

How much space can I save with a Mobile Compactor?

Is the floor in my Delhi office strong enough for a compactor?

Mobile compactors carry high-density loads, so floor strength is vital. We also offer specialized base frames to distribute weight evenly.

What makes your compactors different from local traders?

Yes. Every Mobile Compactor in India supplied by Spanco comes with a centralized locking system. When the units are pushed together and locked, the contents are completely inaccessible, making them perfect for hospitals, banks, and government offices.

Do you provide maintenance for mobile compactors in Delhi-NCR?

Steps of manufacture

How we work

Every rack on this site is made on one line at our own 5000 m² plant in Bahadurgarh. Nothing is bought in and re-badged, which is why we can answer for the steel grade, the coating and the bay loading on the same call.

  1. Steel coil in

Cold-rolled and hot-rolled coil from TATA Steel and SAIL arrives at the Bahadurgarh plant and is checked against IS 513 and IS 10743 before anything is cut.

  2. Punching

Coil is slit to width and punched on the press. Upright perforation pitch is set here, and it is what decides the beam levels you can later move.

  3. Roll forming

Flat strip is passed through the forming line and comes out as the finished section — upright, beam or panel — with the stiffening bends that carry the load.

  4. Shot blasting

Mill scale and rust are stripped off the formed sections so that paint has clean, keyed steel to hold on to. Skipping this is why cheap racking flakes.

  5. Welding and assembly

Bracing is welded to the uprights and beam end-connectors are fitted. Frames are squared on the jig so bays line up on site rather than being forced true.

  6. Powder coating

Sections are pre-treated and powder coated, then oven cured. The coat is what stands up to forklift rub, humidity and cold-store condensation.

  7. Packing

Uprights, beams and accessories are bundled by bay and labelled, so the right parts reach the right run and nothing is counted twice on site.

  8. Delivery and installation

Dispatch runs approximately 2 weeks from order confirmation. Our own team installs and hands over; everything is bolted, so a run can be re-pitched or relocated later.
