Questions buyers ask before ordering

What floor loading do you build Heavy Duty Mezzanine Floors to?

We build Heavy Duty Mezzanine Floors to 300, 500 or 750 kg per square metre, with clear platform heights from 2000 mm to 5000 mm. 300 suits light storage and picking, 500 is the usual warehouse choice, and 750 is for heavier stock or where a pallet truck runs on the deck.

How much floor area can a mezzanine add?

In a building with enough clear height, a single-level mezzanine roughly doubles the usable area of the footprint it covers. The limit is the clear height available: you need working headroom both below and above the deck, so measure from the floor to the lowest obstruction, which is usually a roof beam, a sprinkler line or a light fitting rather than the roof itself.

Should I choose a mezzanine floor or multi-tier racking?

A mezzanine gives you open floor you can lay out freely, put desks or machines on, and change later. Multi-tier racking gives you shelving on several levels, which stores more per square metre but fixes the layout to the rack grid. Choose a mezzanine when you need usable space; choose multi-tier when you need storage density.

What floor loading should I specify?

We build to 300, 500 or 750 kg per square metre. 300 suits light storage and order picking, 500 is the usual choice for general warehouse duty, and 750 is for heavier stock or where a pallet truck will run on the deck. Specifying higher than you need adds steel and cost, so it is worth being honest about the real load.

Is a mezzanine permanent?

No. Ours are bolted modular structures erected without site welding, so they can be dismantled and re-erected elsewhere. On a leased building that is often the deciding advantage.

What do you need to quote a mezzanine floor?

Floor area, clear height to the lowest obstruction, intended loading per square metre, and whether you need a staircase, a pallet gate or edge barriers. A photograph of the space is usually enough to start.

Steps of manufacture

How we work

Every rack on this site is made on one line at our own 5000 m² plant in Bahadurgarh. Nothing is bought in and re-badged, which is why we can answer for the steel grade, the coating and the bay loading on the same call.

  1. Steel coil in

Cold-rolled and hot-rolled coil from TATA Steel and SAIL arrives at the Bahadurgarh plant and is checked against IS 513 and IS 10743 before anything is cut.

  2. Punching

Coil is slit to width and punched on the press. Upright perforation pitch is set here, and it is what decides the beam levels you can later move.

  3. Roll forming

Flat strip is passed through the forming line and comes out as the finished section — upright, beam or panel — with the stiffening bends that carry the load.

  4. Shot blasting

Mill scale and rust are stripped off the formed sections so that paint has clean, keyed steel to hold on to. Skipping this is why cheap racking flakes.

  5. Welding and assembly

Bracing is welded to the uprights and beam end-connectors are fitted. Frames are squared on the jig so bays line up on site rather than being forced true.

  6. Powder coating

Sections are pre-treated and powder coated, then oven cured. The coat is what stands up to forklift rub, humidity and cold-store condensation.

  7. Packing

Uprights, beams and accessories are bundled by bay and labelled, so the right parts reach the right run and nothing is counted twice on site.

  8. Delivery and installation

Dispatch runs approximately 2 weeks from order confirmation. Our own team installs and hands over; everything is bolted, so a run can be re-pitched or relocated later.
